A Chicago doctor professes that a new type of surgery to treat glaucoma is less invasive than traditional methods. During the procedure, the surgeon inserts a tube of collagen into the eye. The tube eventually dissolves, leaving an empty space into which the eye’s fluids can flow. This lowers intraocular pressure, relieving the symptoms of glaucoma.
